Officer
Igor Soldo

August 26, 1982- June 8, 2014

Officer Igor Soldo joined LVMPD on September 7, 2006. He was a graduate from the University of Nebraska and known as an avid Cornhuskers fan. During his time at LVMPD, he served in the Patrol Division as well as working in the Problem Solving Unit at Northeast Area Command. He was a Firearms Instructor since 2008 and taught several academies at the range. Soldo was a native of Bosnia, but his family left the war-torn country and moved to Nebraska to build a better life when Officer Soldo was young. He was well traveled and became a voracious reader and had a passion for knowledge. Family and friends described him as a very private person who didn’t like the spotlight but always did for others.

On June 8, 2014 Officer Soldo and his partner Officer Alyn Beck were ambushed and fatally wounded by two armed suspects. Officer Soldo is survived by his wife, son, parents, siblings and extended family.
