Funding Honor GuardThe LVMPD Honor Guard is an all volunteer detail that must raise funds to support our activities. There are no funds in the LVMPD's operational budget to support an Honor Guard Detail, or provide for its equipment and activities. The LVMPD Honor Guard provides support to the families of Fallen Officers and the community by providing memorial services for Fallen Officers both in the Line of Duty and retired. Upon request, we will form a Color Guard to present the National and State Colors at multiple Law Enforcement related events. On occasion, we travel to funerals of Law Enforcement Officers who are killed in the line of duty throughout the Southwest region to provide support to other agencies and their communities.
The LVMPD Honor Guard also represents the LVMPD as we participate in Annual Law Enforcement Memorial services throughout the country. These events include;
All of these memorial monuments and ceremonies exist because of generous donations by private entities. Our funding efforts allow us to purchase and maintain our uniforms, equipment, provide training to members at national training camps, and cover travel expenses associated with all of the events we participate in. If you wish to show your support you can purchase merchandise online or at any of our events. All proceeds benefit the Honor Guard Directly.
