An Honor to Serve the Fallen

The Honor Guard proudly serves the City of Las Vegas, the County of Clark and Law Enforcement Communities across the United States in performing military-style honors during funeral services of officers killed in the line of duty as well as for deaths of current or retired law enforcement officers. They also represent the LVMPD for line-of-duty deaths in other jurisdictions in the Southwestern United States. Duties performed include standing post at caskets, flag ceremonies, twenty-one gun salutes and the playing of Taps. By the appropriate rendering of honors, the Honor Guard endeavors to provide closure to the families of officers killed in the line of duty.

The Honor Guard traditionally appears at prestigious ceremonies in Washington D.C. and in Carson City, and Reno NV, for the state memorial where fallen officers names are etched on the monument walls. In order to send representatives to these events, the group conducts fundraisers and/or spends money out of their own pocket. Due to monetary restrictions, the Honor Guard is typically only able to send a portion of their all-volunteer membership to these very important annual events.

You can assist us in our goal by participating in our fundraising events, purchasing some of our fundraising merchandise, or by simply making a donation. Explore our site to learn more or simply click the Contact Us link above to find out more about how you can help.

 Flags For The Fallen

Picture
Help raise money for the LVMPD Honor Guard to purchase the ceremonial flags that they use when rendering honors to Fallen Officers. These flags are draped over the casket of the fallen and presented to their families as a token of gratitude and symbolizes the honorable service their lost loved one performed. Purchase 1 flag for the family of a fallen officer with each donation of $60, or purchase multiple flags by donating any custom amount.
