Deputy Sheriff George Hart was appointed to the Clark County Sheriff’s Department on July 5, 1956.  Deputy Hart’s career met a tragic end on October 25, 1957.  While being booked, the drunk prisoner struck Deputy Hart in the stomach area.  Due to complications resulting from the blow, Deputy Hart succumbed to the injury on November 12, 1957.  He was 40.
