Officer Austin Zade Abdelnabi joined the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on November 28, 2023, after earning a criminal justice degree from Clemson University. Before that, he served four years with the U.S. Marine Corps, deploying overseas twice. Officer Abdelnabi was assigned to the Southeast Area Command Community Safety Division. Officer Abdelnabi, remembered for his compassionate nature and his infectious smile, was shot and killed responding to a person with a gun call. He is survived by his wife, Sage, his parents and three siblings.
